The way the main character practically forgot her rape was not realistic, all these guys she gets romantic with slam her against a wall when they get rough with her, just like she was when she was raped. Also, I haven't been a fan of the way some plot devices were handled.
Then, the author threw the actually interesting relationship the main character had in the garbage with a "where the eff did that come from?" surprise, which didn't even seem plausible, in favor of the vanilla fairy tale prince relationship and ending. But, in this book, the foreshadowing was more like shoving who the bad guy was in your face. It seemed like the author was going to show audiences a different kind of couple, a strong woman coming into her power, and keep you guessing until the end.
